Being surrounded by Ponderosa pines gives you the feeling of being remote and private, a perfect place to listen to the quiet among a forest of trees with few neighbors. Year-round access is possible with a 4X4, but will require some snow plowing and some road maintenance to deal with mud at times. It is about 10-15 minutes from Roundup and about an hour drive to Billings. Wild turkeys, mule deer, whitetails, bear and elk live in this area, which can make for excellent hunting or just wildlife viewing. Thousands of acres of public land (BLM & State land) are just a mile to the north and west, as well as Lake Mason National Wildlife Refuge about 5 miles further to the north. You are also only 35 miles southeast of access into the National Forest in the little Snowy Mountains where you will also find lots of elk, deer and other wildlife. Cabin is about 400 to 600 feet from power, it does not have a septic nor any well. It does have a propane stove for heat, a sleeping loft, some furnishings and is partially insulated. The owner is willing to finance with 20% down. No known covenants and no zoning. It is approximately 7 miles from Roundup; first 4 miles is well maintained county road, while the last 3 miles is on private roads that have limited maintenance.
