The Jack Saloon, also called The Lumberjack Saloon, is infamous in its own right. It was built by a local family in the 1970’s and has stood the test of time as a “get away from it all” spot in what feels like the middle of nowhere, but it’s only 30 minutes from Missoula – and equally accessible from I-90 through Alberton. The Lumberjack consists of bar/restaurant constructed of huge cedar logs – the bar has undergone improvements in the last couple of years but holds the same character it always has! Built on 24.97 wooded acres bordering the Forest Service there is a creek flowing through the property and there are expansive lawns allowing for a gorgeous wedding venue. A stage was built last year for concerts and more! Many events are being held this year including a Truck Pull and Logger Days. Additionally, there are 4 cabins, a single-wide mobile home, dry RV camping, and there is new (third) septic and a new well on the property for building a home or additional cabins! The owners have been here a short time but have more than doubled revenues and are ready to pass the baton to the next enterprising individual to take The Lumberjack even further. Continue to develop this space as an entertainment venue, expand the wedding venue, build out and renovate the current cabins – the (big) sky’s the limit with this business! Looking for a lodge or just a really cool spot steeped in history to build a home? This would make an excellent outfitters lodge or family compound!
