Near by attractions to this 8 room motel include East Glacier, The Blackfeet Reservation, Saint Mary, The Marias River, Native American Historical Sites, and The Great Bear Wilderness Area.
Glacier is the home of mountain goats, grizzly bears, deer, ptarmigans, rock chucks, moose, and about a 1000 species of plants. The park is over 1 million acres. 130 Lakes, 200 spectacular waterfalls. The Bob Marshall Wilderness is only about an hour away as well.
Great Bear Wilderness Area is located just South of Glacier National Park and northwest of the Bob Marshall. This 285,771 acres wilderness area is on the west side of the Continental Divide. Hunting is allowed with permits at the Bureau of Land Management. Great Bear also has 300 miles of hiking trails. There are guided winter time backpacking trips for those that wish to brave the elements in the area. Other attractions include Apgar Cross Country Ski trails, guided bird hunting in the golden triangle, and fishing in area lakes.
